A U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft assigned to the 391st Fighter Squadron sits on the flightline during sunset at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, Dec. 6. With a digital electronic engine control system, Strike Eagle pilots can accelerate from idle power to maximum afterburner in less than four seconds.
