I had the pleasure of meeting Col. Thorsness at our 2008 355th Fighter Association reunion in Tucson AZ. He asked for the crew chiefs to gather round and I got my picture taken with him. It was a real honor to have that picture taken with a real hero from the Vietnam War. May he rest in peace and God bless him.
