  1. I was only about 2 months old when that great B-29 crashed into the meat packing plant in south Seattle in early 1943. My father worked at the Boeing plant and we lived in Georgetown, not far from the meat packing plant. I heard the stories about that terrible crash many time over the years until I really felt close to all those killed and affected by it. Years have gone by quickly and I still hear those huge planes powering into the air even in my dreams. Just gotta look up, smile and say a little prayer of thanks to all of those brave men and women who flew over my house and others so that we could live without fear of loosing our freedom in our great country. Thanks to Boeing and the United States Army Air Corps and the “Boys who made the Noise” over our Georgetown home in 1942-46
