81105 A.C.- America’s Leading Jet Ace- Major George S.Daavis, USAF, of Lubbock, Texas, distinguished himself recently by destroying four Communist jets in a single days operation in Korea. His victories, accomplished during two fierce air battles involving 209 planes, brings his total of jets destroyed to nine, with one jet and four conventional type enemy planes downed or damaged. The Air Force pilot was an ace during World War II with seven Japanese planes downed in aerial combat over the Philippine Islands.
